Now here is one artist who eats, lives and breathes her art everyday – Clare Basler.
I cant decide whether I like her home, art, website or studio better .. it is all a holistic blur of beautiful creative passion.
Claire Basler is a French floral painter who lives and works in a former schoolhouse in Les Ormes, right outside of Paris. On a daily basis, she creates huge floral arrangements and puts them around her house, using them as sources of inspiration for her paintings.
“In her garden, she witnesses nature’s fight for life against the wind, the rain, and the sun,” according to the Telegraph. “This is what Claire Basler portrays in her paintings: the strength and frailty of a flower, the reassuring nature of a tree, the metamorphosis of a simple poppy.”
Her home studio has been featured in Elle Decor multiple times for its uniqueness and beauty. Who wouldn’t want to live/work here?
I LIKE DAISIES, FRAGILE AND PASSIONATE POPPIES,
BREEZES, WIND, GRACE, GENTLENESS AND ITS FORCE, STORMS, THE MYSTERY OF STILL WATERS.
THE VAST SKY IN THE PUDDLES THAT LINE A DIRT ROAD
AND THE TREE THAT FORCES ME TO BE SILENT, PATIENT.
THERE ARE MAGNIFICENT ONES AT BEAUVOIR.
MURALS, FROM THEM SOMETHING MORE AND SOMETHING INEXPLICABLE FORCES EMOTION.
I PAINT THEM IN OIL, EITHER DIRECTLY ON THE WALL OR ON WOODEN PANELS IN LONG FRIEZES
ACCORDING TO WHAT THE LOCATION DICTATES.
ALWAYS THE ARTIST
