Last Saturday morning being ANZAC weekend and both the boys were in town, so I tee’d up a small working bee at my place. This mum needed a hand with a few rocks.
Well it was like having Heckle and Jeckle come to town!
Everything started in familiar manner, Chay got pulled over by the police the night before in his Porsche only to discover he had no license in Victoria. So Saturday morning Juan was his chauffeur in his V8 Tourag .. what fun revving through the streets the whole way here apparently. So they were in fine form by the time they arrived after visiting the police station.
I cooked up a feast of bacon and egg burgers and the lads resumed the regular position in my office while we chatted.
It didn’t take long for Bucky to move in and give the boys a bit of inspiration to get outside and start working .. good on Buck .. right on cue lol although looking decidedly guilty.
After several attempts of repeating the instructions: pull out the thin rocks, slice some extra rocks and then stack them next to the house did we finally manage to get under-way .. and with happy smiles on their faces.
I mean what are kids for after all if it isn’t to be slave labour apparently.
Eventually the task was done and everyone was smiling. The lads resumed their positions back in the house while we had cupaccinos and donuts .. even Bucky got his share and off the boys went back to their lives.
Love you and miss you both already .. kisses from your ma xox
Still loving Autumn!
I did a recent blog about the fantastic colors of Autumn. This week I grabbed the camera again and went outside to take some more wonderful photos. Most of all I am delighted how the garden has come along since we first planted less than 12 months ago.
See you next Saturday
