The last few weeks have been capital B.U.S.Y. It’s nice to have friends and family over but this is the first weekend in months it is just the two of us alone. So what does a home alone weekend look like at our place?

1. Plant the plants.

We have two potted trees to plant, one has been standing in the garden for 4 months waiting! The other I bought on Mother’s Day and is waiting for its new home.

2. Do the housework.

Yes the weekend chores always arrive: washing, shopping, laundry, general tidying. I have to admit to having a house cleaner once a fortnight so my version of chores is fairly light-weight.

3. Homework.

It never goes away, at some point during the week I fob off a task to the weekend. Ray works most Saturday mornings so I sit quietly in my fluffy slippers and finish any unfinished business.

4. Pull my finger out on the house plans.

For 3 weeks I have been planning to ring some building designers. I need to get 3 quotes, I bet they dont work Saturdays.

5. Waste some time.

I mean what are weekends for if I cant browse mindlessly on the internet!

6. Pull my finger out and finish my painting.

Enough said there 🙁

7. Consider starting the stone cladding.

Seriously, the stones and wall are all ready to go. I even had the boys here on a working bee to get me ready. I just need some glue and motivation.

8. Try to stick to the diet!

Hard but not impossible. Three weeks on LitenEasy and I have lost 2 kg, acceptable stats. Sitting around on the weekend inspires one to eat more and drink more.

9. Consider exercise.

Hard but not impossible, anything can be seriously considered ….

10. Pull my finger out and do some drawing!

I don’t know why but the physical activity of art is sitting in the boring category at the moment. Do you get that from time to time?

11. Take the new prints to get framed.

I now have 5 prints to be framed, get onto it girl!

12. Consider starting the stone seat.

Anything hard work is well considered. Another area ready to go but lacking adrenaline.

13. Buy a fairy.

To do all of the above except item 5.

14. Last but not least fool around.

It is just the two of us for a whole weekend and check out this fun article from Houzz.com about bedroom colors.
