Alrighty I have come from the ashes and out of the dark ages! I wrote my first web site over 15 years ago when I started Fantasy Dreams bedheads, back then we didn’t have themes to buy, quick creation tools and realms of readily available YouTube tutorials. Everything was manually coded in Frontpage with frames and eventually I converted over to Dreamweaver to use the clunky unfriendly templates.

Back then Google search was a breeze … here I was a small home business .. and when you typed in Bedroom Furniture in Google I was on the front page, for nearly 2 years in fact! It was amazing the amount of email and requests I got and my home business began to flourish  I was sending bedheads all over the US and Aus; to unusual places like Guam, Texas, the Caribbean and various states of the US. Clients would download and email me a fax payment of over $2000 deposit without even a conversation about what they required and delivery was over $1000 to the US by air. That was back when the US was rich, Google was free and internet shopping was just beginning.

That only lasted 2 years, the rest of the world and business caught on and I didn’t have the funds or the time to compete. Plus being such a niche product, it was unlikely I could recoup on the investment. I still made bedheads for 7 years in total, finding unique clients in Australia until my ex became my ex and we no longer made bedheads as Fantasy Dreams.

So here I am in 2012 on Christmas holidays and decided I needed to get back in touch with the world, with my customers, my arty fans and rebuild my own brand .. ME. From having it all (and being unhappy) to losing it all (and getting depressed) to finding happiness again (with bells on my toes!) it’s now time to rebuild my artistic career one step at a time. Hence this website has been born to share what I know and get back in touch! It may take me years to fulfil my full-time artistic dream again .. but hey .. you can never keep a good woman down!

I hope I enjoy blogging, I hope it gives you inspiration, tips and tutorials on what I have learned in over 35 as an artist. I cant wait to take photos and get really creative with this site which in itself is another form of visual expression for me.

Always the artist, Dina
